MOBILE, Alabama (Feb 15, 2010) -- Integrity Music announces the April 13 release of Unshakable, the follow-up to the critically-acclaimed, self-titled debut from the Baton Rouge, Louisiana band Deluge.

The band’s previous album garnered kudos from fans and critics alike and was named among ChristianityToday.com’s “Favorite Worship Albums of 2008.”

Unshakable is a studio-recorded worship album that paints a lyrical picture of a “tried by fire” faith set to an energetic, alt-rock and sometimes experimental soundscape.

Jonathan Stockstill, band frontman and worship pastor at the 10,000+-member Bethany World Prayer Center in Baton Rouge, penned all of the songs with help from his band mates and in one instance, his brother Joel.

According to Stockstill, the songs are an outpouring of the joy, anger, pain and hope that his family and church experienced over the past two years. This includes the birth of Stockstill’s first child, the loss of his young sister-in-law to cancer and his brother Joel’s lifelong battle with kidney disease.

“We went on a retreat… just the band,” says Stockstill. “A time for us to pray, worship and write together… and songs just flowed out. All of the songs speak of where we’ve been and how we’re pressing through, especially the title track, ‘Unshakable,’ which has really connected with our church and youth group.”

Two other stand-out songs are “Let’s Worship,” a simple plea which features guest vocalist Kari Jobe, and “Come In My Courts,” which was inspired by Joel Stockstill’s vision of his wife Amy after her death.

Digging into the lyrics, it’s easy to see that Stockstill’s brother played an instrumental role in the album’s development. Despite his illness, Joel’s faith and perseverance has influenced growth of the mega church’s youth group to over 7,000 students. Stockstill confirms, “Joel is the inspiration behind the album.”

Deluge allows listeners to see their heart through the music. From rock-out moments, to soft worship interludes, Unshakable gives a glimpse into the everyday-life struggles of believers who share a selfless passion for Christ.

Because Unshakable is ideal for both student and church worship bands, Integrity created companion worship resources so that local churches can incorporate Deluge’s songs into their services. These products include CD trax, a songbook and a digital songbook.

Within the U.S., the CD and resource products are distributed to Christian retail stores by Provident-Integrity Distribution. In addition, Integrity Music International will distribute the products to 160 other countries.

Unshakable also is available at most online retail outlets including http://www.integritydirect.com. The UPC numbers are: CD- 000768481226; CD Trax- 000768481295; Songbook- 00076848127; Digital Songbook- 000768481202.

The songlist for Unshakable is:
* Unshakable
* Deeper
* Power
* Jesus Lamb of God
* Refuge
* Wash Me
* I Want To Dance
* Overjoyed
* Come Alive
* I Want To Be Used

DELUGE Bio

The Deep South has always been a hothouse for organic, progressive rockers. And the Baton Rouge-based worship band DELUGE carries on that music tradition.

DELUGE first caught the attention of critics and worship music fans with the release of their self-titled Integrity Music debut in 2008. This year, the band returns with Unshakable, an album filled with new songs inspired by faith-trying testimony.

Unshakable is not just the title of our new album, it is the message of the life we have been living as a family and a church,” says DELUGE frontman Jonathan Stockstill.

“We have walked through battles during the last two years, and many of the songs that you hear on this album reflect our need for God and our hope and trust in Him.”

Known for their ability to engage church audiences of all ages and worship traditions, DELUGE calls Baton Rouge's multi-cultural Bethany World Prayer Center home. Not only do the band members attend Bethany, Jonathan serves as worship pastor for the church, which is pastored by his father, Larry Stockstill. And DELUGE developed out of Bethany's intense "DELUGE" worship conferences. As new songs emerged from these times of corporate prayer and worship, Jonathan and his bandmates began honing their unique sound, a gumbo of the music styles found in their home state.

But DELUGE is way more than “a sound.” They also represent one of the most vibrant youth ministries in America, Bethany’s 220 Ministry, led by Jonathan's brother, Joel Stockstill. With over 7000 kids in weekly attendance, this youth ministry emphasizes prayer, evangelism and discipleship. And according to Jonathan, much of the inspiration for DELUGE’s music comes from these themes and the passionate youth culture found at their church.

As ChristianityToday.com put it, “… rock-solid musicianship and an inventive, hard-to-peg style distinguish DELUGE from countless other sound-alikes in today's modern worship.”

Worship Leader magazine adds, "The Deluge band have managed to stay a few steps away from the Atlanta movements and all the Nashville clichés, and in so doing, have proven that those steps are actually ahead of the pack."
